LBMP–024: Le Manuscrit Pingré Orgue – Pièces de Mr. D’Agincourt
From €39.69
Le Manuscrit Pingré Orgue, part of the collection left by Guy-Alexandre Pingré to the Bibliothèque Saint-Geneviève in Paris, contains the only known organ works of Rouen Cathedral organist François D’Agincourt. The manuscript also includes 39 unattributed pieces, some almost certainly by D’Agincourt’s predecessor, Jacques Boyvin. This edition, the first to present these works as a single volume, includes a comprehensive preface by editor Jon Baxendale discussing the copyist, the music, registration, and performance.
